What it is
Emsella is a treatment chair that uses focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate the pelvic floor, the group of muscles that supports the bladder and helps control urination. During a session, the chair triggers thousands of deep pelvic floor contractions, far more than most people can do on their own with exercises like Kegels.
Emsella is FDA-cleared to treat urinary incontinence in women and men.
How it can help
- Strengthens the pelvic floor muscles
- Can reduce bladder leaks, including leaks when you laugh, cough, sneeze or exercise
- No surgery and no downtime, and you stay fully clothed
- Supports core strength and stability
- Helps restore confidence in everyday activities
What to expect
You simply sit on the Emsella chair, fully clothed, while it does the work. Most people feel a tingling sensation and strong muscle contractions, and each session takes about half an hour. You can return to your normal day right afterward.
Emsella is usually done as a series of sessions. We'll talk through a plan that fits your goals.
Good to know
Emsella isn't suitable for everyone. Let us know if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker or other electronic implant, have metal implants in the hip or pelvic area (including a copper IUD), or have had recent pelvic surgery.
